Introducing Group Project Initiatives

We’re excited to announce a change in our operating name! The evolution from On Canada Project Inc. (OCP Inc.) to Group Project Initiatives marks a significant milestone in our journey, a change that reflects the depth and breadth of our work far more accurately.

This transition speaks to the essence of how our different components—On Canada Project Media, Social Good Collective, and Good Trouble Studios—integrate and collaborate, mirroring the dynamics of a well-synchronized group project.

In a group project, every member brings their unique skills, perspectives, and energies to achieve a common goal. Similarly, the divisions within our initiative work in concert to address complex societal issues.

➡ On Canada Project shines a light on underrepresented stories, challenging the mainstream narrative and fostering a more inclusive dialogue.

➡ Social Good Collective connects individuals to causes and movements, building a community of activists, thinkers, and doers ready to effect change.

➡ Good Trouble Studios crafts strategies and campaigns that translate ideas into action, driving forward our mission with creativity and purpose.

Adopting the name Group Project Initiatives signifies more than a rebranding; it embodies our collective ethos and the collaborative nature of our work. It underscores our belief that tackling the pressing issues of our time—such as disinformation, division, and apathy—requires a unified effort, a synergy of diverse talents and voices coming together for a greater cause. This name encapsulates our approach to creating societal impact: like any group project, success hinges on collaboration, mutual support, and shared vision.

TL;DR - we’re the same dynamic, nuanced and transformative organization, just with a spiffy new name: Group Project Initiatives.
